Product Review :
Well worth the extra money, stronger and so much quieter
Not
only is this pet door a hundred times stronger than the normal plastic
one - the one I have now has been going strong for two years and still
in good condition (the normal plastic one I had before it broke within a
couple of days of installing), but it is also so much quieter than the
plastic ones too, which is really a god-send with two dogs and three
cats going in and out at all times of the day and night.
Before
I'd installed it I was concerned that the flap would not fall into place
properly after a while causing drafts, but the magnetic strip along the
bottom of the flap keeps it in line and closed at least as well if not
better than a rigid plastic flap. This product may look expensive at
first glance, but I am certain that if I'd stayed with the plastic
variety I would have spent considerably more in replacement doors in the
last two years than this one cost me.
Springer Spaniel loves it
My
springer spaniel has been dashing in and out through this door for 4
months now and it is as good as new. I had to wonder initially whether I
had bought the correct size (medium) as it did not look that big when
fitted (compared to my dog) but after some initial trepidation Daisy got
to grips with it and found there is in fact quite a lot of room to
spare.
Great Product
Amazing products works much better then the plastic version that we had before.
Would recommend to anyway with dogs.

If you have a half panel and half glass upvc back door then the horizontal frame half way up your door prevents the closing flap from working as it has to drop straight down and can not be fitted with the slight angle created by the slightly recessed door panel .... Only found this out after fitting as its not documented anywhere and the staywell video shows a recessed panel so i assumed all wold be fine.
ReplyDeleteReally annoyed as i had to replace the panel to fit this flap as my previous 800 series staywell flap was broken and parts were not available .... because it is larger than their new panels, i had no choice but to replace the panel ...... and now with the new flap fitted i cant close the closing panel!!
